Erika Humphreys, PMHNP

Erika Humphreys, PMHNP-BC, BSN, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She earned an associate degree in nursing from the College of Southern Maryland, followed by a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Capella University, and a master’s degree in the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, School of Nursing. 

Her mental health career began at Walden Sierra, providing direct care for several populations. While pursuing her associate degree, Humphreys worked as a mental health counselor at both MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital and Calvert Health Medical Center’s inpatient behavioral health units. She remained at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital’s inpatient behavioral health unit after passing her boards, moving into the role as a psychiatric nurse. During this time, she also obtained her national certification in psychiatric mental-health nursing and taught psychiatric nursing clinicals at the College of Southern Maryland, her alma mater.
